After discovering Kate’s other project called Lung, I wanted to hear some of her solo work. Two of her best songs are off the very solid LP Water Lungs. This LP is classic Kate – her strong melancholy lyrics, engaging cello, and her emotive singing are all here. Or you could just focus on her singing and cello and still be entertained. “All that you asked for” is my favorite track off this LP. Like many of the songs off Bottom of The Barrel, this song speaks of the heartbreak after the breakup of a relationship. But Kate is moving on. “If I could just take back all the days we shared, oh you best damn better believe I would.” “Water Lungs” is my second favorite off this LP. Check it out. Dan
